The history of the hotel began in the early 1946. That time it was the sanatorium "Rossiya“ - the favorite destination of the party elite. The resort was frequently visited by famous people, popular actors and heroes of labor. It’s a well-known fact that Yuri Gagarin the pilot-cosmonaut, hero of the Soviet Union, world’s most famous person, loved staying at “Rossiya”.
In 2006, the former sanatorium of the USSR Council of Ministers has been completely renovated. Along with the new unique style and atmosphere of the "luxury" hotel it has acquired a new name - "RODINA" Grand Hotel & SPA.
RODINA Grand Hotel & SPA hosted such important events as the presentation of bids for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, signature of the agreement between the Russian Government and Formula 1 for Sochi Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix for a 6-year period starting from 2014.

This luxury 5-star hotel is located on the Black Sea Coast in Sochi. It features a private beach, several gourmet restaurants, a Wellness and Spa by Rodina with indoor and outdoor pools and kids club.

Rodina Grand Hotel & SPA is surrounded by 15-hectare sub-tropical gardens. Its stylish rooms and suites feature flat-screen TVs and designer furniture.

Buffet breakfasts are served in the main Moscow Restaurant. The beachside BSBC Restaurant serves drinks and snacks, and guests can relax with a cocktail in one of the stylish bars. There is also a rooftop terrace, Nebesa.

Rodina Grand Hotel & SPA is the only 5-star boutique hotel in Sochi. Other exclusive facilities include a private movie theatre, billiard room, tennis courts and basketball and volleyball courts. Rodina provides guests with golf carts for transport around the resort.
